Possessing more and more of the good points

“You should possess more and more of those good points. They will make you useful and fruitful as you get to know our Lord Jesus Christ better.” (2 Peter 1:8, NIrV)

I do not know if you grappled with the word “world” as a new believer in the Supreme Kingdom of the Greatest I AM. In my experience, I often wondered if there was another ‘place’ out there that I was meant to reach out to. Are we not all living in one world that God created?

Okay, that was my newbie self. I have now matured in the Faith and, yes, the radiations of Yahweh’s Light pierced my simple mind. Now wiser in faith matters. His light showed me that this big word – ‘world’. Simply references individuals existing in a different reality other than my own.

This light, my beloved friend, showed that these realities are within individuals. Let us look at the biblical answer in Christ Jesus, He says to the Pharisees.

“… He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” ( Luke 17:20-21, NKJV)

Within each one of us, it is the choice to come into agreement with the supernatural. Today, whatever you agree with becomes your reality. The making of such agreements unifies supernatural and natural atmospheres. Now, because the superNatural is superior in ranking, it overtakes and controls the natural environment, which is the body, mind and soul.

Those in agreement with Christ Jesus are one with Him. He dominates their lives. See John 15.

SuperNatural Realities

Scripture shows the existence of two superNatural realities: good and evil. These forces have always been there, sometimes we are simply not aware of their operation.

All good points are in the Kingdom of Goodness, which is that of the Sovereign One. And the potency of natural manifestation directly correlates to the depth of the relationship with the source.

Scripture also says that Yahweh reigns (Psalms 2) as King in the Supreme Kingdom of goodness.

Thanks be to Yahweh in His goodness and mercy, who has given us a choice to find, define, and shape our personal realities.

What are some good points to possess?

Using the light from 2 Peter 1:1-9, NIrV, we will shine on Eight good points for us to see. What scripture illuminates is available for our possession.

I love how light reveals Faith as the base, and further shines on the importance of the added good points. As you can see, the light from each good point intensifies the brightness.

Let’s look through these eight levels of light, whose convergence results in the shining of a Greater Light in the Kingdom within.

1. Faith

“… I am sending this letter to you who have received faith as valuable as ours…” (2 Peter 1:1, NIrV

Faith is the eye of the needle that every individual must go through to experience God personally. It is the right of passage for all individuals. Yes, you have a Right to See and Experience Yahweh personally. To get there, we yield and allow the Holy Ghost to lead and control, guiding us to the landing page of the glorious Kingdom of God.

“… Those who come to God must believe that he exists. And they must believe that he rewards those who look to him. (Hebrews 11:6, NIrV)

2. Goodness

“So you should try very hard to add goodness to your Faith …” (2 Peter 1:5, NIrV)

By faith and through the help of the Holy Ghost, once we have perceived the Kingdom good points. One is to add goodness. Goodness is the moral demonstration on uprightness within the ways of righteous living.

It is taking an intentional position to avoid sin in order to produce moral excellence, for “We know that we have come to know God if we obey His commands.” (1 John 2:3, NIrV)

3. Knowledge

“… To goodness, add knowledge.” (2 Peter 1:5, NIrV)

Knowledge is the information that stirs awareness and understanding of the existence of God and His nature. It is one of the Seven Spirits of God (Isaiah 11:2, KJ21).

The Spirit of Knowledge, working within, provokes a positive response to His Word.

Knowledge highlights Gods’ promises to us so that we can claim them with expectation.

Having known God’s faithfulness, Abraham patiently endured, expecting to receive the promise of a son, Isaac. I do not know what your promise is that you are waiting on God to fulfill, but the fact that you have known of the promise, causes you to be expectant of its’ fulfillment.

Only God can fulfill what He has promised to all who love Him.

Do you know the promises of God concerning your life? Keep the promise and the promise giver inSight, expecting fulfillment.

4. Self-Control

“To knowledge, add the ability to control yourselves …” (2 Peter 1:6a, NIrV)

Why does the ability to control yourself add to knowledge? It is because when God places your inSight of the Kingdom, there is a harvest entitlement. You begin to possess good points and things. Points that help you and others.

Therefore, control yourselves not only harvest, but also to possess just enough!

In the famous story of the manna from Heaven narrated in (Exodus 16). We can see that God was showing the Israelites the endless Kingdom possibilities. In showing, the people knew more of Gods’ power and Kingdom resources.

See that there were specific instructions on how to harvest and handle the manna in their possession. For example:

“And when they measured it by the omer, the one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little. Everyone had gathered just as much as they needed.” (Exodus 16:18, NIV)

When God positions you in plain sight of what is available in the Kingdom, just harvest what you need, toss away greed because it will spoil all the goodness.

See that you do not lose your good points.

“However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them.” (Exodus 16:20, NIV)

5. Strength to Keep on Going

“… To the ability to control yourselves, add the strength to keep going.” (2 Peter 1:6b, NIrV)

So, the good point of strength follows self-control, so that we can focus on growing the share of His nature that He has given us to steward.

Therefore, keep to your lane, and focus on your gift, do not overstep, and look to take over that of others.

6. Godliness

“… To the strength to keep going, add godliness …” (2 Peter 1: 6, NIrV)

God, through the power of the Holy Spirit has enabled us to see the good points in His Kingdom. So, we are keeping the sense of God within so that as we apply the good points in life we can remember where they come from.

These good points do not belong to us. They belong to God, so, we are to acknowledge this reality in thanksgiving.

Therefore, Godliness pertains to the general sense of acknowledging the origin of life, all good things and attributing Glory to the Sovereign God.

Once you are in possession of your good points, you recognize your individual role as part of creation.

7. Kindness for one another

“To godliness, add kindness for one another…” (2 Peter 1:7, NIrV)

Kindness is being warmhearted towards others. I know that we may not possess the ability to help everyone in need by ourselves. However, do not be cold to the specifics who touch your heart deeply, the ones who speak to your personal life journey when they approach you. Point them to the answer in Christ and share your testimony. For in sharing, they will see their way clearly.

The warm hand you extend today to another’s season of coldness may be the warm hand that covers you in your cold season.

Kindness towards others shows a the way of Gods’ Kingdom Culture. It automatically draws them in.
